Featuring mature wines from the greatest estate in the Languedoc
Founded in 1992, Grange des Pères has quickly become arguably the most respected domaine in the entire Languedoc region.Formerly a physiotherapist, Laurent Vaillé decided to return to his family home in Aniane after working at various domaines including Coche-Dury, Chave and Trevallon in the 1980s. He set about planting some of the land his father Alain owned and in 1992 released his first vintage, a Cabernet-based wine grown on high-altitude, stony, clay-limestone soil. Low yields were deliberately espoused to make up for the young age of his vines. Thus was born Grange des Pères, which has developed into a cult wine with an international following.
